Looking at Young Zimbabweans: How Engaged are they?

Political engagement is very important for the health of a democracy. It presupposes deliberation, contestation of ideas, inclusivity and valuing of differing and dissenting ideas in a polity. In political engagement, there is no single super idea that must pre-empt decision making. This is the theory. If the young are compared in Zimbabwe, does it show that there is equity in engagement as part of democratic project? Are the idiosyncrasies resulting from the urban and rural divide able to be dealt with such that the youth separated by time and space receive the same respect as actors in the polity, and are motivated to engage?
